Thomas is the Chief Economist at ACEC where he leads original research, quantitative analyses and thought leadership on the engineering industry and US economy. He works across ACEC to provide data driven insights for our members. In this role he leverages his background in data, economics, technology, and market development.

Prior to ACEC Thomas worked at StreetLight Data, a transportation analytics company that was acquired by Jacobs. In addition to his experience with startups, data science and software, he worked at HDR as a Senior Economist in the Economics & Finance group. His work has been published in numerous media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, the New York Times.

He holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations and a Master’s in Applied Economics from the Johns Hopkins University.

Fun Fact

Thomas loves music and has been playing instruments ever since his parents forced him to take piano lessons when he was 9.
