The ACEC Coalitions Winter Meeting centers on resiliency and sustainability, a crucial theme for engineering firms navigating today’s dynamic environment. Morning: Committee Meetings for Coalitions
7:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Registration and Welcome Breakfast
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Executive Committee Meetings (CAMEE, CASE*, COPS, GEO, LDC)
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch & Presentation: This presentation will cover a local engineering project currently underway in Arizona. It will provide an overview of the project's scope, objectives, and the innovative solutions being applied to address the region's unique challenges. Attendees will learn about the design, planning, and execution phases, as well as the collaboration between local stakeholders and engineers to ensure the project’s success.
Afternoon: Education Sessions/Presentations and Roundtable
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Education Session: Advancing Resilience in Infrastructure
This session, led by Jeff Gebhard, VP of Braun Intertec, and Shawnna Erter, VP of SCI Engineering, will focus on the vital role of geoprofessionals in responding to the challenges of extreme weather events and climate change. As these events increasingly threaten communities and infrastructure, engineers and scientists ensure the stability of critical systems. The discussion will also explore the emerging role of the Resilience Specialist, with an emphasis on designing sustainable infrastructure and managing the rising costs of repairs following catastrophic events.
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Coffee Break and Networking
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Education Session: Revolutionizing Environmental Decision-Making with AI and Data Science
Join Laura Lopez Hoffman, a key leader of the University of Arizona’s NEPAccess initiative will showcase how NEPAccess uses AI and data science to streamline NEPA reviews, enhance transparency, and improve environmental decision-making. Discover how this innovative platform saves time, reduces costs, and supports equitable, sustainable infrastructure development.
4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Roundtable and Open Discussion

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Networking Reception
End at 7:00 PM on Day 1
CASE Contracts, Guidelines, Programs and Communications, and Toolkit Committee Meetings will meet from 12:00 PM -3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26.
