PAC Leadership Circle Program Puts Georgia Over ACEC/PAC Goal

For the fifth consecutive year, ACEC/Georgia has hit its 2019 ACEC/PAC fundraising target. Going into Convention, Georgia is the biggest fundraiser in 2019, bringing in more than $40,000 and showing no signs of stopping.  In 2018, Georgia was the fourth-highest fundraiser, raising more than 150 percent of their goal.

State PAC Champion Kevin McOmber of CPL credited the M.O.’s fundraising success to the creation of the ACEC/Georgia PAC Leadership Circle in 2015, a concept developed by former PAC Chamption Jay Wolverton of Wolverton and Associates.

“The original idea was that while the contributions come from individuals, we should honor and promote the firms that commit to collectively contribute at least $1,000 per year in cumulative individual contributions,” said McOmber. “We hoped to get 40 firms to raise $1,000 each, but there was an unexpected `healthy competition’ among the firms, so we created Bronze ($1,000+), Silver ($2,000+), Gold ($3,000+) and Platinum ($7,500+) levels.”

Members of the PAC Leadership Circle receive several exclusive benefits, including recognition at M.O. events, a listing in Engineering Georgia magazine, invitations to a legislative reception with legislative leaders and to meetings with state and national legislators, and the firm logo listed on the M.O. website.

Four other states have reached their annual fundraising goals: Indiana, Hawaii, Wisconsin, and Montana.

All states at goal will be recognized during the ACEC Board of Directors meeting at the 2019 ACEC Convention next week, as well as the states that hit their 2018 fundraising targets in the fourth quarter of last year.
