Stakeholder Group Leaders to Share Insider Insights on Key Industry Issues at ACEC Convention in Washington, D.C., May 5-8
ACEC Chairman Manish Kothari and President/CEO Linda Bauer Darr will moderate a panel of CEOs representing key stakeholder organizations in a discussion of current issues and the political state of play between a divided Congress and the White House.
The panel will include Thomas Kuhn, CEO, Edison Electric Institute; Stephen Sandherr, CEO, Associated General Contractors of America; Paul Skoutelas, President/CEO, American Public Transportation Association; Mike Toohey, President/CEO, Waterways Council; and Jim Tymon. CEO, AASHTO.
Also speaking at the Convention: Dana Perino, who served as press secretary to President George W. Bush, and former interim head of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile will share the stage to present their differing views about the current state of American politics and where they think the nation’s politics are heading; and best-selling author and business consultant Salim Ismail will address how firms can position themselves to capitalize on opportunities in the rapidly changing business environment.
The Engineering Excellence Awards Gala will be held during the Convention on Tuesday, May 7. Comedian Ross Shafer returns to host the Gala, which honors the year’s best engineering projects. For more information, click here.
