Aileen Del Prado. P.E., is the Senior Director of the Design Consultant Management Studio within the Architecture and Engineering Department at the New York City School Construction Authority. She supervises a team of over 50 project management professionals who manage hundreds of architecture and engineering design consultants holding requirements contracts for Capacity, Capital Improvement, MEP, and Landscape projects with the SCA. Projects managed by the Studio include new schools, school additions, developer projects, lease conversions, exterior modernizations, playgrounds and athletic fields, room upgrades and conversions, boiler conversions as well as other MEP upgrades such as lighting, fire alarm, IPDVS, and public address systems.
Aileen has been with the SCA for over 20 years where she was directly involved in some of the SCA’s most important projects and initiatives including the design of NYC’s first net zero school, the Superstorm Sandy Projects, and the UPK/3K Initiative.

Upon her appointment as Senior Director in 2020, Aileen was responsible for managing the design of the Covid-19 Testing and Vaccinations Centers throughout NYC as well as the Covid-19 Ventilation Survey of over 1600 buildings within a one month period involving over 30 design firms to allow students and staff to safely occupy these facilities by September 2020.

Aileen is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction. She received both her Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College
