John Classe is the Chief Executive Officer and District Administrator of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District formerly known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID). Since 2015, he has led all aspects of the special taxing district, including the development of public infrastructure and governmental services that support Walt Disney World.

A seasoned real estate development executive, Mr. Classe has more than 30 years of experience as an owner, consultant, and developer. Throughout his career, he has overseen the development of a variety of large-scale, master-planned retail centers, themed entertainment, and resorts. He is widely known for his strategic direction in the creation of the award-winning Baldwin Park and Celebration communities in Central Florida.

Before joining Reedy Creek, Mr. Classe held executive leadership roles at several leading real estate development firms. Most recently, he was Vice President, Residential, for Crescent Communities, LLC. Before that, he spent time with PBS&J and the Pritzker Realtor Group. He is a master strategist with a demonstrated expertise in urban redevelopment.

Mr. Classe is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.

A Floridian since a very early age, Mr. Classe is an active member of several community organizations. He is a member of Class XXXV of Leadership Florida, the Four Corners One Vision Steering Committee, and the Central Florida Tourism Community Advisory Board.

He also serves on the Board of Governors for The Geneva School, a private K-12 Christian Classical School. Previously, he was a member of the West 192 Development Authority in Osceola County, Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Maitland and the Municipal Planning Board and Historic Preservation Board for the City of Orlando.

Mr. Classe currently resides in Central Florida with his wife and three lovely daughters. When he is not working, he is the proud coach of his daughter’s softball team.
