Just in time for the tax filing season, the Treasury Department recently finalized its rules for implementing the new 20% tax deduction for A/E passthrough firm owners. This special webinar will help you and your CPA understand and take full advantage of the new benefit.

Created by the 2017 tax law, so-called “passthrough firms” -- S corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships -- now qualify for a new 20% tax deduction. ACEC advocacy was instrumental in the law’s final version which allows A/E firm owners full access to this tax deduction.

This 60-minute presentation will be delivered by a team of seasoned CPAs with extensive A/E industry experience. CPAs Scott Hursh, Thomas Moul, and Jennifer Nelson of Stambaugh Ness will cover key areas of the new law, including:

  • What qualifies as eligible business income
  • Rules on reasonable compensation for owners
  • Anti-abuse safeguards
  • Aggregation rules for firms with multiple legal entities
