This updated tool provides a complete, customizable template for keeping clients and stakeholders informed throughout a project. More than a form, it is a communication system designed to protect firms from misunderstandings, improve client satisfaction, and support stronger project control.

Recent updates help to provide a more comprehensive and user-friendly tool that also includes feedback from users.  It organizes key information such as recent activities, upcoming deliverables, action items, invoicing, and reimbursable expenses into one clear, professional format. By maintaining a written record of progress and responsibilities, firms can demonstrate accountability, document decisions, and reduce exposure to claims or disputes.

Tool 4-1 can also be used in conjunction with Tool 4-6: Project Team Coordination and Prioritization Log to align internal team priorities with client-facing updates. Together, these tools create a seamless link between internal project management and external communication, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accountability across all project participants.

  • Addition of “X-Week Look Ahead” Table

    • This table provides a list of upcoming activities such as reports, site surveys, major site visits, and bulletins. It provides the reader with a list or upcoming activities that might require preparation, mobilization, or the provision of resources. The length of the look-ahead period (X on the table) is set by the user.
