ACEC New York to Host Online Panel Discussion to Commemorate 9/11

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11, ACEC New York will present a panel of experts to discuss the history of the complex, the response to the attack, plane impact analysis, and the rebirth of the World Trade Center Site.

The September 14 event will be part of ACEC/NY’s 2021 Fall Conference and will be broadcast live to virtual attendees.

LERA Consulting Structural Engineers Partner Rick Zottola will moderate the panel, which will include:

• Vicki Arbitrio, Associate Partner, Gilsanz Murray Steficek, LLP
• Najib Abboud, Managing Principal & Applied Science Practice Leader, Thornton Tomasetti
• Michael Burton, Vice President and National Operations Manager, LiRo Engineers Inc.
• Carla Bonacci, Assistant Director, WTC Infrastructure & Project Development, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
• Jeffrey Smilow, Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Building Structures, WSP USA Inc.
