ACEC/PAC Summer Sweepstakes Sets Fundraising Record

In its 2020 Summer Sweepstakes, ACEC/PAC sold 3,103 tickets and raised a record $77,575.

John Moeller of JMT in Hunt Valley, Md. won the grand Prize of $1,000.

Shahin Hekmat of Thompson & Associates in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. won $500 and Michael Folkening of Civiltech Engineering in Chicago won $250.

The four $100 prizes went to Franco Balassone of Prime AE Group in Wethersfield, Conn.; Josh Conley of JMT in Columbus, Ohio; Chris Cook of Abonmarche Consultants in Benton Harbor, Mich; and Lawrence Truman of Michael Baker International in San Diego.

ACEC California bought the most tickets (370), followed by Illinois (275) and North Carolina (270).

The four ACEC/PAC sweepstakes—Spring Sweepstakes (200/ticket), Summer Sweepstakes ($25), Fall Sweepstakes ($200), and Last Change Sweepstakes ($100)—generate more than 50 percent of the PAC’s annual fundraising goal.

The Fall Sweepstakes is still open, with the drawing to be held live during the virtual ACEC Fall Conference on October 29 at 4:45 pm (EDT).
