ACEC’s Last Word Blog, Engineering Inc. to Highlight National Engineering Week Celebrations by Members

ACEC’s Last Word Blog, Engineering Inc. to Highlight National Engineering Week Celebrations by Members

ACEC will spotlight Member Organization and Member Firm activities which commemorate the 2020 National Engineers Week, to be celebrated February 16-22.

Created in 1951, Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by promoting the importance of engineers and increasing interest in engineering and technology careers.

We want to spotlight the individual efforts you and your Member Firms will be undertaking during Engineers Week. We want to know if you have an activity planned or know of a firm that will host an event.

Activities by members will be posted daily in the Last Word Blog and appear in a special Engineers Week section in the Spring 2020 issue of Engineering Inc. We will also share photos and video over our social network sites. Finally, if you have a specific message that you want to deliver, we encourage you to take advantage of our podcast, Engineering Influence.

Example of activities can include, but not limited to:

  • Photos or video of local Engineers Week events, such as presentations to school students
  • Local public service announcements or print advertisements
  • T.V., radio or blog interviews

If you would like your activity to be featured as part of this special Engineers Week coverage, please email a few paragraphs describing the event, along with the name, email and telephone number of the primary contact to Alan D. Crockett, Member Communications Director.

All comments to blog posts will be moderated by ACEC staff.
