ACEC to Present Five-Week Course on How to Engage with Local, State, and Federal Lawmakers

ACEC will offer a new five-week live online course Effective Government Engagement at the Local, State, and Federal Levels to help member firms advocate for their interests with lawmakers.

The course will consist of five modules, which will be presented live online once each week from March 2 to March 30

Engaging in government affairs may seem intimidating, but this course will provide insight into ways to easily and effectively advocate at each level of government. Sessions will demonstrate why design professionals should participate in the political process and how increased and targeted engagement can benefit both individual firms and the engineering industry.

This five-module course combines the scheduling ease of video learning and the immediacy and intensity of a live classroom.

Participants can:

  • Attend weekly live discussions with instructors via WebEx Meeting
  • Access recorded lectures anytime via computer, tablet, or smartphone
  • Take home valuable sample materials including guidelines, checklists, sample leave-behinds, and talking points
  • Earn a minimum of 8 PDHs.
