Degenkolb Principal Matt Barnard’s Home Renovation Featured on Christina on the Coast

Matt Barnard, a principal at Degenkolb in Los Angeles, had his home featured on the HGTV show Christina on the Coast at the end of May. The show (Season 1, Episode 2, titled “Master Suite Makeover”) features interior designer Christina Anstead renovating the master bedroom and bathroom in the 1939 era home.

“We had a blast,” said Barnard of the two-month project. “Christina, Izzy, and the rest of the crew were great and the experience of doing this with them is something that we will always treasure.”

Barnard and his partner Ryan Mangindaan worked closely with Anstead on the design. “They listened to us, understood what we actually needed, and then took our wants and ideas to the next level.”

More than 3 million people watched the episode, which aired on May 30. It can be streamed on various platforms or caught when it is re-aired on HGTV. “We keep hearing stories about people randomly catching re-runs of the show and losing it when they realize that they know us,” said Barnard. “Those reactions along with all of the positive reactions to the show, the renovation, and to us has been really special.”

Would they do it again? “Definitely yes,” Barnard said. “Christina – call us. We have more that needs to be done!”
