ACEC and SAME Partner to Strengthen National Security and Underlying Infrastructure
ACEC and the Society of American of Military Engineers (SAME) have entered into a partnering agreement to strengthen their cooperation in improving national security and the underlying infrastructure.
The two groups have long advocated for strong, resilient designs in federal projects, specifically partnering with the armed services. The agreement encourages the exchange of information on business practices and opportunities for advancement, increased collaboration between SAME Posts and ACEC MO’s, and greater participation in each other’s programs.
ACEC will hit the ground running by facilitating SAME’s upcoming Small Business Conference CEO Roundtable in Dallas on November 20-22. ACEC Federal Agencies and Procurement Advocacy Committee Chair Miro Kurka, who also serves as SAME’s TEXOMA regional vice president, will moderate a discussion on issues identified in a white paper he co-authored related to cost engineering on military projects and the challenges to government.
