ACEC Testifies before the Illinois Legislature

Yesterday, Steve Hall, ACEC’s Senior Vice President of Advocacy and External Affairs, testified before the Illinois House Capital Appropriations Committee urging lawmakers to raise revenues to support a bold infrastructure program.

Hall’s testimony gave legislators a national perspective in terms of what other states are doing to invest in their infrastructure, as well as the current state of the infrastructure debate in Congress.

During the hearing, Hall noted the work being done by ACEC Illinois to build a grassroots coalition of more than 60 business and labor organizations, including user groups like truckers, to address raising revenues for infrastructure investment.

Hall also briefed lawmakers on similar efforts at the national level, including ACEC’s advocacy for congressional action on a robust infrastructure bill this year. To read the full testimony, click here.
