Honoring the Life of Ed Mulcahy

The ACEC community is saddened to report the passing of Edward Mulcahy, 88, after a brief illness.  In 1966, Ed founded JBM Associates Engineers and Planners with two colleagues in Kansas City. A merger with two other Midwest engineering firms in 1995 rebranded the firm into Transystems, which grew to national prominence with more than 1,000 employees.

An active member of ACEC, Ed served as its Board Chair from 2004 to 2006.

Ed is survived by his wife Jeanne, two sons, Tim and Steve, a daughter Erin, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
