Indemnification Bill Approved in Ohio General Assembly

ACEC Ohio has alerted us to some good news coming from its General Assembly today. Senate Bill 56, a bill that would regulate the use of indemnity provisions in contracts related to public improvements has been approved. The bill was in conference committee after being amended in the Ohio House last June, today both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate passed the conference report. https://acecohio.org/aws/ACEC/pt/sp/legislative_state_issues

The next step, once Enrolled, will be for the Governor’s consideration. ACEC Ohio does not anticipate any concerns with this step.
