Montana Gets to ACEC/PAC Goal with a Team Effort
ACEC/Montana met their 2019 ACEC/PAC fundraising goal this week, achieving that milestone for the eighth consecutive year.
PAC Champion John Shoff of DOWL in Billings gave credit to a team of fundraisers: Scott Murphy of Morrison-Maierle, Chris Anderson of DJ&A, and Bill Lloyd of Great West took leadership roles within their firms and engaged in a peer-to-peer effort that got the Member Organization to its goal early in the year.
“We really have multiple PAC champions,” said Shoff. “We found a champion for each of the larger firms—the PAC pitch is more credible when it comes from a colleague who walks down the hall to ask you to join. Being able to communicate the value proposition and our priorities with a local contact makes a difference.”
ACEC/MT joins ACEC/Indiana, ACEC/Hawaii, and ACEC/Wisconsin in having raised at least 100 percent of their current ACEC/PAC fundraising objective. These states will be recognized at next week’s ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., along with the Member Organizations that made their 2018 ACEC/PAC fundraising goal in the last quarter of last year.
