There’s a growing trend to impose fiduciary duties on professional engineers, but is it right for engineers to carry these duties? How can you ensure that you don’t unintentionally take on such a high duty of care?

Mathew Rechtien, general counsel at Walter P Moore, will explore what it means to be a fiduciary and how engineers sometimes find themselves in the role, whether they intended to or not, and offer tips on how to avoid inadvertently taking on fiduciary responsibilities.
