SBA Small Business Revenue Threshold for Engineering Firms to Climb 10 Percent
The Small Business Administration (SBA) will raise the annual revenue threshold for engineering firms to qualify for SBA loans and set-aside contracts by 10 percent to $16.5 million. The new standard will take effect on August 19.
SBA estimates that an additional 90,000 architectural, engineering, and construction firms will qualify as small businesses.
The SBA has also proposed changing how small businesses determine their average annual revenue, extending the lookback period from three years to five years.
