The excel file included as part of this tool is a simple way to record phone conversations, track action items related to the specific phone conversations and record comments and follow-up items. Attached to the spreadsheet are links to a standard letter and memorandum file in MSWord format that may be useful if the phone call generates a need for a confirmation phone memo or other correspondence. These files are intended to be customized to any template file you are currently using. The cut and paste option can be used to clip information from the log and place it in the appropriate correspondence document.
This tool is intended to be simple and easily adaptable for specific user needs. The excel spreadsheet can be modified as required by the user. The referenced job list file can be populated and or modified as needed by the user. Additionally, the links to the correspondence files are basically placeholders and the user’s own documents can be saved and referenced.
