E-001 is a commentary on how to use each of the documents in the E series. Engineering services documents are intended to be consistent with other EJCDC contract documents and the commentary will help allocate responsibilities in a systematic fashion and avoid disagreements regarding definitions of terms, indemnification, insurance, and other items.
