Order of the Engineer

The College of Fellows has made it possible for interested ACEC Members to be inducted into The Order of the Engineer — a national organization dedicated to upholding the standards and dignity of the engineering profession.

The next induction ceremony for ACEC Members will take place as part of the 2017 ACEC Fall Conference in Orlando, FL. All registrants for the ceremony must be present to take the oath and sign your certificate to receive the Order of the Engineer ring.

The Order of the Engineer was initiated to foster the spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, and to stimulate formal public recognition by engineers in two basic principles: that the primary purpose of engineering is service to the public; and that all members of the engineering profession share a common bond.

The Fall Conference ceremony will have inductees taking the Obligation of the Engineer oath and then each being presented with a stainless steel ring as a symbol of membership.
