Engineering Excellence Awards Committee
PURPOSE:
The committee is to ensure that ACEC conducts a high-level Engineering Excellence Awards program; recognizes outstanding engineering achievements; and promotes the portrayal of these achievements to the public.
2022-2023 GOALS:
- Identify new Committee members to foster fresh perspectives and consider the merits of term limits for Committee members. Committee member recommendations should consider geographic, discipline, and corporate diversity.
- Recommend ways to enhance the EEA Competition as an image builder for the engineering industry.
- Work with the ACEC staff Communications and Advocacy teams to both expand recognition of the Engineering Excellence Awards including use of both traditional and social media to promote the EEA awards and infrastructure advocacy more broadly. This includes working with the M.O.s to promote the EEA Road Show to K-12 schools.
- Maintain a diverse and prominent panel of judges.
